Looming evictions in South Hebron Hills: Masafer Yatta
300 Palestinian residents of Masafer Yatta stand to be evicted from their homes. The IDF claims it needs to train there. Join Yachad and Breaking the Silence to hear about the ongoing court case, and listen to a Palestinian living in the area about the impact that the threat of eviction has on the daily lives of Palestinians in the South Hebron Hills.
Visions for Conflict Resolution – Israel at 74
In the context of the current turbulence on and around the Temple Mount and the palpable fragility of the coalition in recent weeks, where do we go next towards a more secure and just future for Israel and Palestine?
Our expert panel will be chaired by Alistair Burt, former Conservative Middle East Minister. We’ll speak with two extraordinary leaders with a clear and hopeful plan: Bissan Salman and Professor Oren Yiftachel.
Yehuda Shaul visit to London
Yehuda Shaul joined Yachad in London to meet a wide spectrum of our supporters. Yehuda founded Breaking the Silence and is one of Israel’s best known anti-occupation, pro-peace activists. Yehuda shared his story and experience of the IDF, and his first-hand experience of the cruelty of occupation. His journey has inspired hundreds of others to testify.
Daniel Seidemann and Alistair Burt at Muswell Hill Synagogue
Join Yachad and Muswell Hill United Synagogue for an evening of discussion with former Middle East Minister Alistair Burt, and Jerusalem expert Danny Seidemann.
Alistair Burt is a former Conservative MP and served as the Middle East Minister between 2010-2013 and 2017-2019. Danny Seidemann is Israel’s leading Jerusalem expert who has advised on peace negotiations and regularly briefs and guides international politicians when they visit Jerusalem. In conversation they will discuss the recent Israeli election, and other political developments, and their impact on the city Jerusalem. They will also look at the recent announcement and revocation of the review of the location of the British embassy in Israel – with the intention of moving it from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem – and what the potential impact of such a policy might be.
